Transfer Station Sticker Fees
Proof of residency and vehicle
registration required

1st Sticker for Household: $125, discounted to $100 if purchased before 9/1/2011

2nd Sticker for Household: $10

For low-income residents, reduced rates
are available to the Berlin Board of Health,
T.S. Manger

All users of the transfer station, including those using a private hauler (Matthew Trucking) must purchase a sticker.

STICKERS ARE ONLY AVAILABLE AT THE BERLIN POLICE DISPATCAH OFFICE 24/7

Municipal Solid Waste (trash) - Cardboard - Brown Paper Bags - Mixed Paper - Clear and Colored Glass Tin/Aluminum Cans - All Recyclable Plastic - EPS (Styrofoam)/Packing Peanuts  - Newspaper and Magazines Electronics/Nicads - Car Batteries - Christmas Trees - Used Clothing - Tires
     
Items NOT accepted
 Paint in Liquid Form - Brake Fluid - Anti-freeze - Building/Demolition Materials -
Hazardous Waste - Oil - Solvents/Gasoline
 

Trading Shed Rules:

  • Items must be clean and reusable: no perishables!
  • No fee items allowed!
  • Trading shed is cleared out every month or two, so if you see something you might want, take it now!
  • Removal of items for resale is strictly prohibited
  • No microwave ovens, computers or televisions!
 
Transfer Station Personnel are authorized to require the opening of any container, including trash bags, for inspection. Failure to comply will result in loss of Transfer Station privileges.
